Walking the talk

How CrossWalk serves and impacts our local and global community

Impact Initiatives

We talk a lot about broad inclusion and loving the world around us, but we also walk the talk: We utilize our church campus as a tool for serving and sheltering our local community, and we use our Outreach Fund to provide resources for our global one. Listed below are the many ways CrossWalk gives back and makes an impact (and if you’re looking for affordable space for your non-profit, we’d be honored to talk about how we can serve your community like we serve these):

Evacuation Center

We are Napa County’s first-to-open and last-to-close evacuation shelter when Mother Nature calls.

Preschool

Our site is home to a local non-profit educational organization and preschool.

Home Gym

We offer our gymnasium and outdoor facilities to multiple local schools and community groups.

Recovery Groups

We host over 40 non-church-affiliated recovery groups to help folks who struggle with addiction.

Outreach Fund

Aiding local, national & global efforts

When you donate toward our Outreach Fund, your resources are routed to the CrossWalk's Food Pantry, Welcome Home Ministry filling pantries those coming out of unhoused situations, Project Hope providing food for Napa's unhoused residents, the Evergreen Association supporting our sister churches, Deborah’s House providing shelter and support for primarily mom's and their kids escaping domestic violence, AWAB’s support of other LGBTQ+ affirming churches, and BST that trains future ministry leaders.  To support these ventures financially, use the button below and select "Outreach/Missions" from the drop down menu.

SHELTER | Capital Campaign

Improving our campus and facilities

Our SHELTER campaign is going strong! We have already finished up Phase 1 projects: fixing our flat roofs adding insulation value for decades to come, improving our sanctuary acoustics  and displays for the many groups it supports, and more - all paid in full with cash. That's approximately $250,000 worth of work completed!

Every week, CrossWalk offers shelter for people in recovery, people mistreated due to their sexuality or skin tone, people seeking documentation for immigration, people evacuated due to fires, earthquakes, floods or heat, people seeking genuine community, kids in preschool, youth playing sports, and of course, people seeking to develop their spirituality.

Supporting our SHELTER campaign ensures a space where love, acceptance, healing and hope flow.   The great news? CrossWalk sees around 1200 community flowing through our campus every week for non-CrossWalk-specific purposes. The hard truth?  Our parking lot wasn't designed to accommodate the heavy traffic it endures and is now in need of replacement.   Phase 2 will address our parking lot, and further improve our sanctuary space (the floor, primarily). The parking lot is going to cost somewhere around $400,000, and the sanctuary floor around $30,000.     Can you help us knock out these massive projects that will ensure our capacity to serve Napa for decades to come?
