CrossWalk is really proud of the ministries we offer to address food insecurities in Napa. For decades we have hosted a member-supported Food Pantry. Over time, in response to lots of circumstances along the way, the focus of our food ministries has shifted. Currently, in conjunction with other organizations, our pantry serves a niche clientele comprised of people who cannot be adequately helped by the local Food Bank, with dietary needs or schedule problems getting in their way. We address their needs directly. We also work with the City of Napa to stock the pantries of people moving out of houselessness into a new place to call home. We have supplied dozens and dozens of new pantries with the basic people need to get going. We also support people escaping domestic violence, often being referred to us by Napa Emergency Women's Services. Finally, in collaboration with a few other churches, once a month CrossWalk provides a bag of food containing two complete meals for Napa's houseless population. This local mission is our top priority among several ventures of which we are a part. When you donate to our Outreach/Missions fund, 100% goes toward our various outreach projects, and the first to get fully funded are our food scarcity programs noted here.
